Wildlife Photography from the Midwest USA

To engage in wildlife photography is just like engaging in anything else; it’s a series of mileposts and moments as you explore what the endeavor is all about.

The first step is to take properly exposed pictures that are in focus. Although that’s the first thing to master, it’s definitely the most difficult to do on a regular basis.

Once you can do that at least some of the time, you start to look for cool backgrounds or interesting light in order to make the pictures more interesting to look at.

Then the final step is to watch for and capture behavior; to give a little insight into the life of the animal. All that’s left to do after that is a whole bunch of practice.
