White Birds

When a white bird is in full sunlight, I’ve learned I have to greatly underexpose it in the camera to prevent the detail from blowing into a glowing blob of bird-shaped whiteness. To do do causes everything around it to go almost to black and I consider that to be quite a bonus.

If I photograph the thing for a long enough time, it will eventually take off. Double bonus.
